ABOUT COLOMBINA SA

Colombina S.A.,  created in 1927, after its founder Don Hernando Caicedo, Vallecaucano Riopaila founder (1918), after realizing that combining sugar cane with fruit flavors that gave rise to revolutionize the Colombian market, and Columbian born , taking advantage of the wealth of our land became one of the most important Latin American candy stores.

In 1935, with the promotion of chocolates began to move homemade sweets, positioning in the market and years later, with the right business vision, in one of the most important companies in the continent.

Upon assuming the presidency Jaime Hernando Caicedo, son of Hernando Caicedo, brought the company new strategies that led to evolve rapidly in the domestic and international market, in 1960 European techniques are adopted to make natural and artificial fillers was omitted. In 1965 it began to compete in the United States with the European dulcerías catapulting the status of the best international companies, ranking second as a provider in this country; the summit and its flagship product came in 1970 with "bon bon bum" which became a favorite sweet for all ages.  The effort, commitment and clear strategies, fostered partnerships with global clients, the incursion into Central America and its development and diversification.

Currently, its CEO is Cesar A. Caicedo who takes the presidency with energizing vision and modernizing its growth both in Colombia and abroad, and its main office is in Cali (Valle del Cauca) in the Cra 1 No. 24-56.

Sugar confectionery Plant

This began in 1927 with the production of sweets, plant is located in the Paila (Zarzal, Valle del Cauca), this is the largest and the best quality standards in Colombia plant.

This plant started in 2000 in Santander de Quilichao (Cauca), in 2010 it was declared a special permanent free zone allowing him to be more competitive in Colombia and abroad.

This plant started in Bogota in the Zona Industrial Paloquemao in 2002.
